Look through our adoptable dogs online or at an event. Text Jen at (909) 631-9682 with the dog you are interested in and she will get you in contact with the foster (unless you already met them at the event). You can set up an appointment to meet up with the foster and pup if you haven't already.
Fill out the application. If you have more than 1 dog in mind, you can fill it out just 1 time and put multiple dog names' on the application.
The foster will arrange a time with you to visit your home and check for potential hazards and poisonous plants.
Plants that are and are not poisonous to dogs
You will pay the adoption fee to the Rescue. It varies depending on the dog due to each dog having specific needs prior to adoption. The foster will be able to communicate the fee amount. 2nd Chances Rescue is a non-profit and fees pay medical bills, vaccines, food, pee pads, milk replacer, and of course, some toys.
Due to the ever-increasing cost of spay and neuter, not all dogs may be spayed/neutered at adoption. If they are, fee will be higher to help cover the cost. If the dog is not spayed or neutered, it will be your responsibility to have it done and will receive a rebate from the rescue upon proof. Vaccines are included in the adoption fee.
